Eagles Drop Nail-Biter to Undefeated Bruins

By Mike Jackman

After coming off a big win on Thursday, the Eagles were quickly back in action the following night, traveling up the road to Uxbridge for a clash with the Uxbridge Bruins. 🏒

1st Period

The Eagles got on the board first with a goal by Blake Peters-Davey, his fifth of the season, giving the Eagles a 1-0 advantage heading into the second period.

2nd Period

After a holding penalty to Cameron McGrogan, the Uxbridge Bruins would convert with 36 seconds left on the power play to tie the game 1-1 on a goal by Ryan Shier. That’s how it stood heading into the third.

3rd Period

The Eagles got an early power play chance in the third after a delay-of-game penalty to Bruins goalie Robby DiMaria, but it was short-lived as a tripping penalty to Blake Peters-Davey evened things up. During the sequence of those penalties, the Bruins would strike with the eventual game-winner on a goal by Tyson Lotton.

The Eagles dropped a nail-biter 2-1. Uxbridge improved their record to 9-0 to start the season, while the Eagles dropped to 5-3-3.
