Bruins Edge Eagles in Game 3

Game 3 Review: Eagles at Bruins

After both teams held home ice in the opening games of the series, the matchup shifted back to Uxbridge on Tuesday evening.

1st Period

The Bruins opened the scoring eight minutes into the game on a goal by Trent Nobes. Nobes added a second goal ten minutes later, leaving the Eagles trailing 2-0 after the first frame.

2nd Period

At exactly the 11-minute mark, the Eagles capitalized on a power play. From the slot, Gianluca Meli wired home a PPG to make it a one-goal game. However, that momentum was quickly snuffed out by the Bruins just 52 seconds later, thanks to Danny Thomakos. Less than five minutes after that, Jack Kemp increased the lead to 4-1. Following a slashing penalty to Eagles goaltender Nate Gillis, the Bruins took advantage once more, with Darin Bain scoring with only 10 seconds left in the period.

3rd Period

At 4:36 of the period, Aidan Miller scored his second goal in as many games to make it 5-2. The Bruins eventually rounded out the scoring to secure a 6-2 final in Game 3. For the second time in the series, Jairus Ford took over in the third period.

The Eagles now return home trailing the series 2-1 and must hold home ice to stay in the hunt. Come out and support your Eagles this Thursday night at 7:25 PM. Make some noise for the boys and pack the GBRC!
