Eagles Win Season Opener

The Clarington Eagles are back for another season after a couple warm up Exhibition games…The Eagles hit the the ice where the puck would drop for the 2025-2026 Season at the Tristan Centre in Schomberg to an attendance of 136 Fans.

The Eagles came out firing with 15 Shots in the first period… we would get the first Penalty of the game at 15:52 going to Schomberg #44 Jared Leite for Hooking.With the Penalty winding down Blake Peters Davey would capitalize on a PP Goal his 1St goal as a member of the Clarington Eagles sent the Eagles to the dressing room with a 1-0 Lead
In the 2nd period the Eagles were Holding on to that 1-0 Lead but Jairus Ford would face a Task in the Eagles Goal try to stop a Penalty shot and Ford answered the Bell with a right pad Save And kept the eagles up by one…. That was huge for the momentum of the game as with .15 Secs left in the period Braydon Hicks would make things 2-0 Going to the 3rd.

The Cougars would outshoot the Eagles in the 3rd Period and at 11:11 of the period Caruk put Schomberg on the board but that’s all they could put passed Jairus Ford who stopped 23 of 24 Shots and a 2 point game by Braydon Hicks 1 Goal 1 Assist And Ethan Girard with two Helpers himself lead the way to a 2-1 Win.

Now the Eagles look forward to next weeks home opener Thursday Sept 18 7:25 Puck Drop at the Garnett B Rickard against the Uxbridge Bruins
