Shorthanded Eagles fall in Georgina

Clarington Eagles Game Recap: December 2025

The Clarington Eagles had just one game remaining on their 2025 schedule after letting one slip through the cracks against Port Perry on Thursday. Originally scheduled for Friday, the matchup against Georgina was postponed and moved to Saturday night.

1st Period

Just 2:15 into the frame, Georgina broke the ice with a goal by Sebastien Ferris. However, the Eagles responded quickly. Owen White netted back-to-back goals within a three-minute span, giving Clarington a 2-1 advantage heading into the first intermission.

2nd Period

The second period saw only one marker, and it came off the stick of Sebastien Ferris for his second of the night. With the teams deadlocked at 2-2, the stage was set for a nail-biting third period.

3rd Period

The “Eagles killer” of the night, Sebastien Ferris, completed his hat trick just 2:58 into the period, marking his 25th goal of the season. Two minutes later, Owen White upstaged Ferris by completing a hat trick of his own—his 8th goal of the year—to tie the game once more.

The back-and-forth continued until Connor Sooley fired home what would prove to be the game-winning goal for Georgina.

Looking Ahead

The Eagles are happy to see the calendar turn to 2026. They currently sit in fourth place, tied with the Port Perry Lumberjacks, and are looking to get back on track in the New Year.

The Eagles organization would like to wish all of their fans a very safe and Happy Holiday season! We will see you back at the Rickard Arena on Sunday, January 4th at 1:25 PM as we take on Uxbridge.
