The Clarington Eagles headed to Georgina for the back end of a back-to-back, looking to build off their 8-1 win over Caledon.

1st Period

The Eagles got things off on the right track in this contest. Owen White scored two goals in a matter of 43 seconds, and the Eagles took a 2-0 lead into the second period.

2nd Period

At 7:06, Caleb Bidgood scored his third goal in two nights, and the Eagles enjoyed a 3-0 lead. However, Georgina finally got on the board with a goal by Bryce McKee at the 10-minute mark to cut the lead down to two. Before the end of the second period, another goal by Austin Paulmart at 13:39 made it a game: 3-2 going into the third period.

3rd Period

Georgina kept coming in the third. 5:02 into the period, Logan Tucker completed the three-goal comeback, and the Eagles found themselves in a tie game.

But not for long. Nate Gillis would receive three delay-of-game penalties for knocking the net off in under two minutes. On those power plays, Alessandro Petreccia and Sebastien Ferris scored power-play goals as the Ice prevailed over the Eagles, 5-3.

It was a tough loss for the Eagles after being up 3-0 and letting this one slip away.

The next action for the Eagles will be Thursday, October 9, when they travel to Schomberg to play the Schomberg Cougars for the second time this year.
