Clarington Eagles vs. Caledon Golden Hawks | Jan 22, 2026
1st Period
The Eagles soared out of the gate, striking first just 5:15 into the game when Blake Peters-Davey found the back of the net to make it 1-0. Shortly after, the Eagles found themselves on the penalty kill following an RJ Jackson hooking minor—but the shorthanded unit took complete control.
First, Christian Sokuljuk netted a shorthanded goal to extend the lead. Just 50 seconds later, Ben Stycuk matched his jersey number by picking up his 9th goal of the year, also shorthanded. The Eagles headed into the first intermission with a commanding 3-0 lead.
2nd Period
The Golden Hawks refused to go away quietly. Caledon began their comeback attempt with a goal by Austin Wong to get on the board. Midway through the frame, Arland Devendra scored to pull Caledon within one. The Eagles weathered the storm, and the score remained 3-2 heading into the final period.
3rd Period
At 10:09 of the third, Owen White stepped out of the penalty box and beat Max Zemp with a perfect shot to restore the Eagles’ two-goal cushion. Christian Sokuljuk would later add his second of the night to put the game out of reach, as the Eagles defeated the Caledon Golden Hawks 5-2.
