Two players have received Player of the Month awards during the playoff season: Connor Davies for March and Cole Williamson for April.

The Eagles Player of the Month award is sponsored by Hooper’s Trophies and Sportswear and Hoopers Jewellers. The coaches focus on overall effort, things players do that don’t always appear on the game sheet, off-ice contributions, and on-ice statistics when making their selection.

Players who play the game the right way at the right time can elevate their play to an entirely new level. Eagles’ assistant captain Connor Davies scored 8 goals and 18 assists in 36 games played from September through February, heating up at the perfect time.  In the month of March, Connor played 10 games, 8 of which were playoff games. During that time, he scored 8 goals and 9 assists for a total of 17 points in the month of March. All this while continuing to work on the first penalty kill unit.

Two goals in ten seconds in game one of the conference finals sealed the first of four straight wins against Port Hope, and ultimately a trip to the Schmalz Cup final four. Cole Williamson scored the game-winning goal in that first  game. In the month of April, he accumulated 4 goals and 8 assists for a total of 12 points in 8 games. Cole has played, and continues to play, major minutes five-on-five, on the powerplay and on the penalty kill. He’s one of the anchors on the back end and the perfect pick for the Player of the Month for April.
